The Firefighter One’s and the Firefighter Two's courses are all done and it's time which means summertime is here. Yes summertime means beach party time at the shore and the time for dancing in the streets and I am calling all around Hartford County to it's members to come out and celebrate at the 2006 Annual Dinner Meeting of the Hartford County Fire Emergency Plan is just around the corner? The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at the Farmington Club, 162 Town Farm Road, Farmington, CT. With a social hour beginning at 6:30 PM with dinner to follow. The Connecticut Statewide Honor Guard will post the colors at the event. Tickets are on sale now through June 12th, at the cost of $20 each and can be obtained from any board member or by calling me John Coelho at 860 793-0871 or my cell # 860 573-5641.
This year's keynote speaker for the County's Annual Dinner meeting will be Stephen Coulon who is a Training Officer for the New York Fire Department. Along with a power point presentation that will include many pictures, he will speak on the importance of Fire Apparatus Driver Safety.
Remember!!!! Circle the date June 21, 2006 on your calendar, call for your tickets and plan on attending this year's gala event and remember no tickets will be sold at the door!!!!. Hope to see you all there.
The Board of Directors would like to ask all County Fire Chiefs to take the time to speak to their Fire Chaplain to see if they would be interested in becoming the Hartford County Fire Chaplain. One of their focuses would be to work with the other Fire Chaplain in the County in hosting the Annual Hartford County Memorial Service which is held in October. If anyone is interested and needs more information on this position please contact me, John Coelho by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org fax number 860 747-2137 or by dropping a line to PO Box 447 Plainville, CT. 06062.
Since the next HOSELINE won't be email to all that are on the email list until September, it is still important to all County Chiefs, Training Officers and House Captains, If there are any changes or information about your department that needs sharing, please let me know ASAP, so that I can include it in the next print of the Hoseline. If there has been a line of Duty Death, a department member has answered his or her's last alarm, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can make sure that their name is added to the list and not forgotten at the Annual Hartford County Memorial Service which is held in October during National Fire Prevention Week. Also if someone is sick or is in the hospital please forward me their name at e-mail email@example.com or fax me at 860 747-2137 or by dropping me a line at PO Box 447 Plainville, CT. 06062 so it can be read off at the board meetings and plan meetings. At this time, I would like to extend my thanks to everyone that has passed on information during this past year to me about their department and will look forward to hearing from you during the upcoming year.
What can be said to Chet Haber, Training Director, to First and Second Assistants, Mike Jepal and James Baldis and Pat Haber, County Clerk and to the core of instructors that put it all together to make the Hartford County Fire Regional School and the fire academy what it is today but THANKS for all of your time and effort for making this a huge success. Also to all the Hartford County Departments and outside other counties, a word of thanks to you for sending your personal to the school for training.
From the board of directors, county clerks, instructors, and training directors, we would like to wish every fire member and their families a GOOD and SAFE summer. See everyone in September.
